At Our Kids Day Camp, we don't just hire staff; we raise leaders. For many, this is their very first job, and we take that responsibility seriously. We provide a supportive environment where you will learn patience, leadership, and social skills that will benefit you for the rest of your life—all while spending your summer outdoors making memories.
Available Positions

Leaders In Training (LIT)

Requirements: 15 years old (Entering 10th Grade)

The Role: A transition step between camper and staff. Gain community service hours and leadership experience.

General Counselor

Requirements: 16+ years old (Entering 11th Grade & up)

The Role: Lead campers, facilitate activities, and be a superhero to your group.

Lifeguard / Swim Instructor

Requirements: 16+ years old

The Role: Ensure safety at our pools and teach swim instruction. Current certification required (training provided).

Lifeguard Certification (We Train You!)
Want to be a lifeguard but don't have your certification yet? We offer the American Red Cross Certification course for FREE to hired staff before camp begins!
Course Details:

Total time: Approx. 30 hours (Blended online & in-person).
-
Pre-requisite Swim Test:
-
300-yard swim (Freestyle and Breaststroke).
-
Tread water for 2 minutes (legs only, no hands).
-
"The Brick Test": Swim 20 yards, dive 8 feet deep to retrieve a 10lb brick, and swim it back on your back (no hands).

Lifeguard Expectations:
-
Enforce pool rules and maintain a safe environment at all times.

Take charge and handle emergencies calmly.
-
Interact patiently with children of all ages.

Mandatory Orientation:
All new and returning staff must attend our 2-Day Orientation prior to camp. You will learn conflict resolution, organizational skills, how to communicate with different age groups, and how to work as a team.
